Perhaps you’ve asked yourself, how can I help make a difference? Consider this...
I had the opportunity to hear Pastor Jason Fritz from Illuminate Church speak on compassion. He said it is the tangible expression of love for those who are suffering! To show compassion we must listen, stop and act. As part of our ongoing mission to help those who suffer in our community we would like to invite you to join Thundershowers and The Healing Cross Project as we shower and clothe the homeless on Saturday, November 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 12 Avenue between Madison and Jefferson. If you are looking for a way to help the homeless in your community there are many ways you can help with this event, including clothing donations, spare change or a couple hours of your time. We are looking for donations of clothes for the winter to help keep the homeless warm, including shoes, beanies, sweaters and jackets. Donations of money can be made through Facebook or the donation page on Healing Cross Project website. Every little donation helps us fund the shower event. If you would like to volunteer and are 21 years or older please contact us through facebook or our volunteer page. The Healing Cross Project will continue to bring human suffering into the forefront and work towards healing for all! The vision of a few can have a huge impact on any community. Come be part of something bigger than all of us! Blessings to you The Courtney Family and Thundershowers
